I have many years of experience as a writer and editor for several major news organizations, including The New York Times and The Associated Press. Areas of specialty include real estate, investing, personal finance and service journalism. I have also written about sports, health and fitness. And, yes, I thrive on deadlines.
I’m not really a diva, but I have embraced all that is digital. Much of my work is for online content. I hold a master’s degree in Interactive Media from Quinnipiac University and have a working knowledge of basic code like HTML5, CSS3, PHP and jQuery. I am also adept at audio and video editing.
How well you’re received by the target audience often determines success. Every story written or edited, or digital project, has been done with the user in mind. I have received advanced training in user-centered design and the principles of information architecture, including simple and high-fidelity wireframes, site maps and personas.
I paint pictures with words – and through technology. I am proficient in several design-oriented programs like Adobe Flash and Photoshop, and I have had training in Premiere Pro and After Effects video editing. But I also appreciate the styling power of code for websites and other interactive projects. Oh, and the photos you see here: They’re all mine.
I am available for long- and short-term writing and editing projects; research work; content management and project planning; as well as media consulting; social media strategy; and web design. I can also help with video and audio editing.Contact Me
